Event Submission Tips:

DATE/TIME:

If your event has a range of dates, select the FIRST date of that range, then list the event range in the description. This will ensure the system automatically orders it correctly.

Times are required because of how the system automatically formats the content. You can enter times in one of three formats:

3:00pm - single start time​
-
3pm-8pm - event time range
-
all day - for multi-day or all day events

If you have a reoccurring event with the SAME name, address, and description, you can submit it once, then email us at info@visitoccoquanva.com with a list of future dates. We will duplicate the event on the backend and add the other events.

IMAGES:

The image will default to a 1:1 square image and will automatically crop. Cropping it yourself first will ensure the image presents as you expect.

Photos included may be used for social media promotion by Visit Occoquan, but graphics will not. Keep that in mind when choosing a photo or graphic to upload.

Let people know what to expect at your event. Keep in mind they may have never heard of your business when reading this description. What can you say that will entice them to attend?

You only have 250 characters, make them count! Don't necessarily include your website or business name, because that will already appear.

Visitors Guide: Events submitted here will be included in the printed version of the Visitor's Guide. Next deadline is Monday, February 10, 2025 for events happening from March 1 - September 30, 2025.

Social Media: Visit Occoquan may elect to promote your event via social media. Photos and information you include may be used for marketing purposes related to Visit Occoquan and your event.
