Engage with your community by volunteering in Occoquan! Join us for a volunteer fair at Occoquan Town Hall to discover opportunities for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Connect with representatives from Town Hall, Visit Occoquan, and other nonprofit groups to learn how you can support in areas such as events, environmental clean up, gardening, historic sites, board positions, and more!
Refreshments will be provided. This is an open house format - visit us any time between 10am-12pm.

Town & Community Volunteers
​
We frequently have volunteer opportunities for town and community events. If you are interested in conservation, beautification, or event support, email events@occoquanva.gov. Current opportunities include:

Occoquan's Planning Commission has periodic clean up, repair, and gardening projects for which volunteers are needed. SIGN UP HERE.

Our tourism non-profit, Visit Occoquan, is seeking volunteer Board members, particularly with fundraising and/or accounting experience, to join its Occoquan-based nonprofit. SIGN UP HERE.

Festival & Event Volunteers
​
Our two-day festival events (RiverFest & Craft Show and Fall Arts & Craft Show) draw thousands of people to town and every season we count on volunteerism to help us host these amazing events for the Town of Occoquan. Your help is very much appreciated.

Shifts vary in hours.

Hours are available for volunteers of all abilities, ages 15 and up.

Volunteers will be supplied with a lunch voucher and volunteer t-shirt.

Help is needed in multiple areas: Shuttle Stop, Vendor Assistance, Information Booth, Set Up, and Flex.

In addition to our two major festivals, there are opportunities to help support our community events as well, including:

Trivia Night in the Park: volunteers needed to help set up, take tickets, and work concessions. SIGN UP HERE.

Visit Occoquan Board of Directors
Visit Occoquan is currently seeking new board members, particularly with fundraising and/or accounting experience, to join its Occoquan-based 501(c)3 nonprofit. All members of the Occoquan community are welcome to apply. Visit Occoquan supports the Town of Occoquan and town businesses through its tourism, marketing, and economic development initiatives. Interested parties may send a statement of interest to the current board of directors at info@visitoccoquanva.com.​​
